What is Dry Eye?

Thousands of people suffer from constant tearing, scratchy eyes and varying visual clarity, yet don’t realize the cause is dry eyes. Dry eye syndrome (DES), AKA Ocular Surface Disease (OSD) and Dry Eye Disease (DED), is one of the most common conditions affecting the health of the eye. There are many reasons why your eyes can become dry and irritated, such as prolonged use of contact lenses, digital device usage, extensive reading and eye strain, eye disease, environmental conditions, autoimmune diseases, eye surgery, etc. If over-the-counter eye drops are not providing enough relief from your chronic symptoms, you may actually have a dry eye condition that requires professional help. Uncovering the root cause of your symptoms will allow us to recommend the best treatment, which will save you money and frustration. DES includes many symptoms that cause discomfort, impair vision and make daily living difficult.

5 Stars from Our Patients
Dr. Wilson is AWESOME, and all the stuff are excellent! I recently had an Incident, something got into my eye which caused an infection and I was in bad pain. The hospital emergency didn't help and my pain continued . As soon as I contacted the clinic the staff were able to schedule me, and get me to see the doctor. The doctor helped me and he was able to take out what was in my eye. In minutes I felt much better and now I am back to normal! Thank you Bear Creek Eye Care!
