For the first time, used Contact Lens blister packs, top foil and contact lenses are recyclable in our office through a collaboration with TerraCycle. Every year, countless Bausch + Lomb contact lenses and pieces of plastic packaging end up in dumpsters and landfills across America.
Bear Creek Eye Care is working with TerraCycle® and Bausch+Lomb to put an end to this enormous loss of resources. The ONE by ONE Recycling Program allows us to recycle these items and prevent them from ending up in landfills.
And not only are you helping the environment, but the waste you recycle with us will earn a donation to Optometry Giving Sight, the only global fundraising initiative that specifically targets the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to uncorrected refractive error - simply the need for an eye exam and a pair of glasses.
Simply drop off your blister packs, top foil and contact lenses in our office and we will take care of the recycling. These items cannot be put in your home recycling bins. However, the outer cardboard boxes can be recycled with other cardboard.
Holiday Hours: We will be closed on New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, & Christmas Day
